Product Analyst

Our client, a major organization within the financial industry, has asked Bagg Technology Resources to assist them in finding a Product Analyst to join their esteemed organization on a full-time permanent basis in the heart of Mississauga or Toronto location. As a Product Analyst, you will work with a product manager to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to help define the go-to-market strategy, helping them position products, and gather feedback from clients. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.

Key Responsibilities for Product Analyst:

  • Gathering and documenting product requirements based on the business case defined by the product manager
  • Grooming the backlog to ensure requirements are accurately prioritized to support the engineering/IT delivery teams and vendor teams
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers
  • Assist the product manager in defining and documenting a business model canvas
  • Track market trends to help evolve the product strategy, attending conferences, research online, research with customers and leverage analyst partners (Gartner, InfoTrends, Xplor, Document Strategy Forum)
  • Research the competition and marketplace to identify areas for product opportunity
  • Manage the “Voice of the customer” sessions with client relations and the sales team to assist the product manager with executing on the “Voice of the customer” framework
  • Capture “Voice of the customer” feedback and tracks it against the business case and product requirements to ensure that both are constantly aligned with the state of the market
  • Support a solution set across project teams (agile development)
  • Track project status against overall Business Case Analysis (BCA) to ensure the project remains in alignment
  • Attend agile lifecycle meetings to clarify the vision and requirements
  • Revise requirements in the backlog to clarify meaning based on project team feedback
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Support the execution of client events
  • Support the development of sales collateral with internal partners and external ad agencies
  • Support the roll out of internal education sessions on your products
  • Present product collateral and give demo’s highlighting product feature / functionality
  • Use graphic design tools to create presentations and marketing collateral that creates an impression on both internal and external consumers of content
  • Write presentation ready content that succinctly conveys ideas and product definitions
  • Prepare demo collateral in support of the pre-sales team
  • Prepare content with minimal supervision
  • Other duties as required

Requirements for Product Analyst:

  • College Diploma/University Degree in Business/Marketing and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Information Technology field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Product Analyst or equivalent position
  • Demonstrated experience with bringing a product to market that has increased revenue and improved client satisfaction
  • Strong technical background, with experience in customer communication management for both print and digital channel delivery
