Our client, a leading organization within the marketing and consultation industry, has asked Bagg Technology Resources to assist them in finding a Senior Search Director to join their esteemed organization in New York City! The Senior Search Director will oversee all account search activities and is accountable for overall search strategy.

Key Responsibilities for Sr. Search Director:

  • Oversees all account search activities
  • Accountable for overall Search strategy and integrated results across all relevant services
  • Accountable for risk management through QA as documented through a RACI
  • Oversees Search Supervisor/Senior Search Manager to ensure program is managed to Best Practice standards and inspire “Next Practice” standards through test, learn and apply approach
  • Oversees quarterly strategy and test plan development with Senior Search Manager /Search Supervisor
  • Directs in-depth quantitative analysis to identify areas of risk and opportunity
  • Develops partner relationships in ways that are strategic and helps drive client business
  • Collaborates with internal team on holistic media planning and measurement
  • Responsible for delivering on-going timely thought-capital
  • Recognizes business development opportunities with existing clients and consults Client Engagement to craft proposal
  • Consults on client team staffing, training and administration
  • Develops relationship with day-to-day and senior clients
  • Support Client Engagement leads with business assessments to manage client P& L
  • Participates in cross-functional initiatives to better understand Razorfish’s service offerings
  • Acts as the search strategic point of contact and member of leadership team
  • Demonstrates “bigger picture” understanding of client’s marketing strategy
  • Ability to take complex ideas and elevate to senior audience
  • Cultivates leadership skills set in high performing Senior Search Managers/Search Supervisors
  • Facilitates internal training programs within search/social landscape and best practices with client team and broader search team
  • Participates in internal management training to develop Leadership competency
  • Manages and motivates a team of 2-7 Search Supervisors, Senior Search Managers, Search Managers, Search Coordinators providing on-going feedback on performance and a vision for career development
  • Owns a Search Discipline Development initiative (Marketing, Publisher Relations Committee, Analytics, Training program etc.)
  • Supports Search Director/ VP with team administrative duties ( recruiting, retention, knowledge-sharing etc)
  • Active contributor to Business Development pursuits
  • Other duties as required

Requirements for Sr. Search Director:

  • 5-7 years in Search Engine Marketing experience required
  • 3 + years in a supervisory role and track record of leadership and coaching
  • 2 + years in client service and consistently demonstrated strong client service orientation
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Strong communication and consulting skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of broader digital marketing solutions ( Display, Mobile, Social)
  • Conversant in online campaign measurement and methodologies
  • Advanced knowledge of SEM/paid social best practices and current industry developments
  • Act as model team member and sets an example for the team
