Our client, a major organization within the Financial Industry, has asked Bagg Technology Resources to assist them in finding a Programmer Analyst to join their exceptional organization on a full-time permanent opportunity. The Programmer Analyst is an integral member of the Finance & Operations Team (FinOps) and will assist with the clients on-going, multi-faceted software development efforts. The Programmer Analyst’s role is to code, test, and analyze software applications. This includes participating in researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production life cycle. The incumbent will have a strong administrative background with a thorough understanding of C#, SQL and Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and support applications based on .net/c# WinForms
  • Contribute to the architecture and design of the applications
  • Developing new application code as per the project or projects work plan(s)
  • Creation of proper documentation with regards to software design, testing, architecture and integration
  • Support business analysis and requirement gathering
  • Perform tests according to a given test plan and document results
  • Perform support and debugging in test and production environments
  • Acting as liaison between business stakeholders, such as management, customers or end users, and the software development or information technology team
  • Make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant Microsoft programming certification(s)
  • 3-5 years of experience in software development using C# with emphasis on database-driven applications (, Entity Framework, or LINQ)
  • Demonstrated experience with VBA and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong relational database design and MSSQL administration / T-SQL experience
  • Experience with SSRS reporting
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle: analysis, design, implementation, testing, commissioning, validation & documentation
  • Must possess mind-set to constantly look for improvement and streamline processes
  • Fundamental accounting / finance knowledge
  • Experience with DevExpress suite is an asset
  • Experience with SQL Data Warehouse implementations, SQL BI is an asset
  • Experience working with ASP.NET Web Form/MVC is an asset
  • Experience working with DML languages MDX/LINQ/DAX is an asset
