The Project Manager will work closely with senior resources and the resources of other departments to define scope of projects and prepare all necessary documentation to formally initiate a project.  Project managers are responsible for ensuring that quality standards are adhered to and that projects are completed on time, on specification and on budget.  Project Managers must ensure that the Project Management methodology is followed in the daily course of their work. S/he will also assume responsibility for strategic initiatives as well as funded projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and/or strategic initiatives with more than 10 team members and a manpower budget of $ 500,000 to $1,000,000 including the creation and management of project charter, project plan and detailed implementation plan ensuring the project scope is scheduled in manageable components.
  • Client exposure is expected at this level and must be managed alongside Client Relations.  Prepare and contribute to internal and client presentations.  Manage client and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure projects assigned are delivered on time, on scope, on budget. Closely monitor timelines and project costs to ensure adherence with approved project plans.  Variances to plan will be documented, reported, and escalated if required.
  • Responsible for communication management (i.e. the preparation of project, client, and executive reports).
  • Assist with document preparation, which may include; Statements of Work, proposals, contracts, estimates, requirements analysis, and technical audits.
  • Manage the efforts of inter-departmental teams. Allocate resources and organize available resources effectively.
  • Aggressively protect the project’s scope to ensure that scope creep does not result by enforcing change management procedures.
  • Coordinate complex technical, system and process audits on client and internal engagements.
  • Assist with the interviewing and selection of third party vendors and contractors as required.  Manage the work efforts and budgets provided for third party providers and consultants.
  • Facilitate team meetings to communicate progress, status, issues, assignments, and urgency.
  • Perform and document post-project reviews.
  • Work with the project team to identify and anticipate issues and risks. Be prepared to manage issues and risks that may arise and escalate those that are unresolved to senior project management to ensure that possible actions will mitigate these.
  • May provide feedback of team member’s performance on a project for the purposes of the employee’s performance review.
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • University degree in a related field would be preferable
  • 3 – 5 years of insurance experience with knowledge of products and terminology (experience in claims, products, technologies etc.)
  • Must have 3 - 5 years of Project Management experience with demonstrable results.
  • Must have 3-5 years of IT experience in any of the following areas:  Development, Support, Testing, Project Management, or Maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s approach to Project Management and demonstrated successful completion of an introduction to Project Management course.
  • PMP Designation would be a plus
  • Position may require minimal travel to customer sites across Canada.
  • Position may require “off-hours” support during implementations as business operates during the evening and early morning shifts
  • Experience with Majesco is highly preferable

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in business processes automation projects.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in systems analysis including requirements definition, feasibility studies, cost estimates, proposals, design, development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing and implementation.
  • Proven track record as solution architect in Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), BI, B2B
  • Senior level knowledge of development with a DBMS (Oracle or MS-SQL)
  • Knowledge of Archimate
  • Good knowledge of major OS (Linus and Windows)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Account Management (15 - 25%): 

  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term relationship with clients 
  • Liaise with EOD consulting teams to track and monitor key client issues. Perform contract

  • Develop a trusted client relationship as an advisor for key accounts/customer stakeholders 
  • Respond to RFPs around specific, approved opportunities. Manage the SOW & provide status 
  • updates to clients for the incremental work sold 
  • Leverage industry expertise to influence client in resourcing strategies 
  • Participate in Account planning and forecasting activities 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in conflict and negotiation management 
  • Develop a deep understanding of competitive products/services to obtain benefits and improvise

Conduct marketing efforts (10 - 20%):

Our client, has asked Bagg Technology Resources to assist them in finding a Technical Systems Analyst to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. The Technical Systems Analyst will assist in building and maintaining technologies and servers for various systems. The ideal candidate will be looking for full-time permanent position, as this role has the potential to turn into a full-time permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot all Workstations, Peripherals, Network Hardware and Telephony to ensure optimal site performance.
  • Support operating system releases, upgrades, service pack installations, bug fixes, security updates, and any system change activities.
  • Support smartphones and tablets: configuration support, synchronization support
  • Diagnose, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot all Servers and server software to ensure optimal site performance.
  • Resolve back up issues, both cloud and local.
  • Identify solutions for network security; provide Spyware, Adware and, virus protection.
  • Install, configure and support all customer software: MS Office, Office 365, specialized legal software, etc.
  • Efficiently manage and prioritize tickets in the remote support queue
  • Efficiently resolve on the spot client issues submitted through email and phone calls
  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot customer systems (workstation/server/network) using Continuum and ScreenConnect.
  • Create and update all client infrastructure documentation.
  • Maintain on time and accurate ticket records in our ticketing/billing system.
  • Support and coach other members of the technical team as requested
  • As back up to our Field Technicians you will be required to carry out all of the above tasks at client sites as needed; often at the last minute.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-year diploma in Networking from an accredited college
  • 7 years working in progressive Information Technology roles
  • Clear English language skills; both written and verbal
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Independent problem-solving and self-directed, requiring minimal daily supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to document tickets following outlined procedures
  • Clear understanding of the Outsourced IT role
  • Must possess a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and a clean driving record
  • Minimum 7 years PC Desktop and Server support experience (Windows, MacOS X, MS Office, Antivirus, VPN, iPhone, Android)
  • Windows Systems Administration: 7 years
  • Microsoft Exchange Administration: 5 years
  • Managing file/print services: 7 years
  • Proficient experience in routing, switching and firewalls: 5 years
  • Office 365 set up and troubleshooting: 3 years
  • Configure, install and troubleshooting WAP/wifi systems: 3 years
  • Excellent work ethics 
  • Flexible with a “Can Do” attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • All Technical Support Analysts are required to participate in the scheduled after hours on call rotation. Evening and weekend work will be required periodically.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

  • have experience working for an outsourced IT company. 
  • have experience working for a 20-50 user company.
  • Have experience supporting legal software such as PC Law
