IT Support Team Lead-Permanent

Our client, a leader in the distribution industry, has asked Bagg Technology Resources to assist them in finding an IT Support Team Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Definition:

Responsible for providing information technology support to all internal employees, while directing a small support team to ensure end user, business and shareholder needs are being met.

           

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Direct and assist technical support staff in daily customer support as well as larger technology improvement projects.
  • Serve as a first-level escalation point for internal customers.
  • Responsible for providing phone/email/chat support on various information technology areas, including PC’s, peripherals, mobile devices, Microsoft technologies, phone systems, network, LAN and WAN applications.
  • Responsible for systems monitoring and maintenance.
  • Responsible for execution of various technology improvement projects, such as software and hardware upgrades and new technology roll out.  
  • Will be expected to keep a log on all support calls, analyze and perform various reports on those logs.
  • Ability to work outside normal working hours when occasionally required.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with team members, co-workers and IT suppliers.
  • Responsible for all other duties as they are assigned.

 

Skills & Experience:

 

  • High School or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical support or related industry. 
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with minimal supervision required. 
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service focus required.  
  • Network+ and/or CCNA certification a plus.
